The Workshop
American Heritage Furniture Co. is an independent workshop devoted to the design and construction of early American furniture built by commission.
Each piece is informed by historical precedent, traditional joinery, and the character of reclaimed American pine. Work is undertaken on a limited basis each year.
The Collection
The pieces shown here represent established forms developed through past commissions.
Each serves as a reference point for proportion, construction, and overall presence within a custom commission. While no two pieces are ever identical, these designs provide a shared language from which custom commissions are developed.
Materials, dimensions, and details are adapted for each project. All work is built to order, one piece at a time.
Begin a Commission
I work directly with designers and private clients on a limited number of commissions each year.
Projects typically begin with a conversation to understand the space, intent, and requirements. From there, I guide the design and construction process through completion.
